Every build

Other platforms.

Every build of the latest version. DBCatz supports macOS (Apple silicon and Intel) and Windows; Linux is not supported.

Prefer Homebrew?

One line in Terminal brings the cat home — Apple silicon or Intel, picked for your Mac. Homebrew asks you to trust the tap the first time; after that it is just brew install --cask dbcatz.

brew tap catzoidhub/catz && brew trust catzoidhub/catz && brew install --cask dbcatz

Curiosity won't kill this cat. The first public release of DBCatz — free and open source under GPL-3.0.

  • Databases — MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Redis, Valkey, MongoDB and Elasticsearch, a tab per connection.
  • Connect — by hand, over SSH, with AWS IAM or Vault, or paste a URL (a whole DATABASE_URL= line works too). Passwords stay in the macOS Keychain.
  • Browse and edit — data grid with filters, structure, indexes, export and import, a query editor with history.
  • Production safety — Production and Read-only modes per connection, typed confirmations for risky statements.
  • AI, optional — ask in plain words; only structure is sent, never your rows unless you allow samples.
  • The family — the databases DevCatz runs show up by themselves; DialCatz opens the table a request touched.

Install: download below, from catzoid.com/dbcatz/download, or with Homebrew: brew tap catzoidhub/catz && brew trust catzoidhub/catz && brew install --cask dbcatz.

Apple silicon and Intel, macOS 13 or later; signed and notarized by Apple, and the app updates itself. Windows is on the way.
